Professional Development:

The Central Valley Chapter supports and encourages participation in the CLSA Professional Development Program (PDP), a voluntary program intended to encourage and support the continued professional growth and competency of land surveyors and recognize their continuing education activities. This program also provides members a means to meet out-of-state licensure requirements.

Online Tracking:

CLSA members may track their professional development online and print or export a report.
Click here to log on as a member. Then, click "Manage PDH";
You may print the report and email to CLSA Central Office

Recognition

A Certificate of Recognition indicating the individual's achievement will be sent to the participant upon approval of the application package. Participants completing the program will also be eligible to use the CLSA Professional Development logo on business cards, letterhead and website. An optional wall plaque is available for purschase at a cost of $25.00.

Chapter members who are participants will have the PDP logo dispalyed next to thier names on the Chapter's Members Roster on this site. State Members in private practice will have the PDP logo displayed next to their names on the "Find a Surveyor" search engine on the State CLSA website.

Chapter Events

The Central Valley Chapter has provided 25.5 professional development hours at its Chapter meetings in 2010 and 2011. For list of the meetings and the hours associated visit here.

State CLSA Events

The California Land Surveyors Association has provided and is providing free (to state members) webinars.

Past Webinars are available in the Members Area at the state website. Once you are logged in, click "Member Resources" then "Downloads" for access.

BPELSG - New Senior Registrar Land Surveyor

The Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists (BPELSG) is pleased to announce that Raymond Mathe, PLS, has accepted the position of Senior Registrar Land Surveyor, effective February 28, 2012. In 2004, Mr. Mathe was appointed by the County of Orange Board of Supervisors to serve as the County Surveyor. Prior to his position at the County, Mr. Mathe worked as a Project Manager at a private engineering and land surveying firm and served as the Deputy County Surveyor for the County of Riverside. Mr. Mathe obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Workforce Education and Development from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in 1995. Mr. Mathe's experience and knowledge of BPELSG's mission and operations, particularly with respect to licensing examination development and the Professional Land Surveyors Act, will prove to be very beneficial to the Board's licensees, applicants, and the public.

Down to Earth Datums Seminar

The Sonoma County Chapter would like to invite your chapter members and any other interested folks to our Down to Earth Datums seminar presented by Michael McGee and Marti Ikehara on March 2nd at Santa Rosa Junior College. Seminar includes morning coffee and pastries, lunch, certificate, pdu's, and handouts. All proceeds go toward the chapter's scholarship fund to the Surveying Technology program at SRJC. Look forward to seeing you!
